Click To Call At Its Finest – The Communications Question

Published by Gart under Uncategorized

We’re all aware that there is no simple solution to the communication puzzle. Customers remain the foundation block of any successful business. Small or large, big or little, businesses are more than ever relying on new mediums such as Click to Call, to interact with their customers in an easy and economical way.

Simply put – excelling in communications is no easy task. The advantages of any streamlined communications system works both ways. The problem is, finding a streamlined system in the first instance. Using the regular telephone system to make calls has always been convenient. However, the advent of toll free numbers, gives potential customers the freedom to call, without cost. This is perhaps the biggest are in which using a Click to Call system, is advantageous. The customer is given the ease, convenience and zero cost of contact; which is always beneficial. For a business, it is a matter of availability, and of feasibility. Whether to adopt or not, is the general question.

Let me illustrate the need for a Marketing General Contractor using a situation I ran into a bit over a year ago. I was approached by a medium-sized national sales organization that had grown to around 75 employees in 10 offices throughout the US. The President of the organization had determined that it was time to “turn on the lead generation hose” with the help of the company’s first national marketing campaign. With 90% of the company’s employees in sales roles, the President had to look outside for help in building the marketing campaign. Here’s how she attacked the situation:

·        Hired a branding firm to help redesign the company logo and printed collateral.

·        Hired a web design and development firm to help redesign the company website.

·        Hired an SEO consultant to handle the optimization of the new website.

·        Hired a PPC firm to launch local search marketing campaigns for each office.

·        Hired a public relations firm to tell the company growth story to the media.

·        Hired an email marketing vendor to create and deliver a monthly email newsletter.

·        Hired a copywriter to create and write posts for the new company blog.

·        Hired a consultant to place print advertising in selected local markets.

On the surface, that looks fine, right? After all, it’s become pretty commonplace for companies to hire different specialists for different roles.

The President called me after dealing with these vendors, agencies and consultants for 3 months, and here were some of the complaints:

·        I can’t get these agencies and vendors to communicate with each other on a regular basis.

·        All the creative looks different – the site doesn’t look like the collateral, the collateral doesn’t look like the blog, the blog doesn’t look like the print advertising.

·        I don’t have time for all the conference calls, reviews, and approvals.

·        Everyone is asking for a larger share of the budget.

·        I don’t understand the fee structures – the PPC firm wants to charge on percentage of spend, the SEO guy wants to charge hourly, and the email marketing vendors charges one rate for creative, another rate for delivery, and yet another rate for reporting.

I listened for a while, and then asked a very simple question: Who built the plan and who is managing the execution of that plan?

She didn’t hesitate at all. She built the plan, and was relying on the marketing coordinator she hired 3 months ago to help pull it all together. She figured these outside agencies and consultants would help build and execute the plan as well.

The focus of the button call system, is essentially, to add value to this already established process. The ease of communication in the telecommunications field is the foundation of all business. Indeed, for a business to thrive, it needs customer contact. This is where the click to call system makes a difference. For those who have little knowledge on exactly what click to call is, it is essentially a business tool, that allows customers to contact any business using the internet feature, at the click of a button – and for free. Whats more, is that the call uses the telephone network. As opposed to the standard telephone call, click to call has an unlimited range, and following on from that, allows businesses to globally connect

Providing businesses with the technology to allow customers to contact them for free, using any telephone or mobile, anywhere in the world, is not impossible. It is in fact a reality. There are many click to call providers out there, some better than others. They all essentially offer the same features, however, the one point that distinguishes a good provider, from an average provider, is the quality and service that they present to potential clients.

In that sense, its sensible for any consumer to choose carefully, based on the merit of the business, not the glamor

Many people think that the reverse phone number finder is just for eradicating the pestering phone calls in the middle of the night or for catching a cheating spouse. So instead of trying to identify these numbers the hard way by calling them one by one, you can just utilize a reverse phone finder system instead. This service can surely help you identify not just the name behind that unfamiliar number but also other important information like the address.

Hence, if you work in a physical store, you will definitely experience times when you get to miss important phone calls if you suddenly went out or when your store is closed. So with this advanced system, you can easily identify the numbers who called the next day that you visit your store.

If this is your requirement, then invest on paying a minimum amount of fee for those reverse phone number finder that charge a certain rate. You would just usually pay for a certain annual cost and most of them would already offer you unlimited service for the entire year.

Learn About The LG Optimus

Published by Gart under Uncategorized

Numerous cell phone manufacturers have decided that the Android operating system is the future. LG came to this conclusion relatively late in the game, but they have made their smartphone entry count with the LG GT540. For marketing purposes it has been dubbed the Optimus and picks up where the GW620 left off. Because LG already had a good product on its hands with the 620, development costs involved in the Optimus were kept low, making for an affordable smartphone for customers.

The Optimus now features a QWERTY keyboard, a feature that people who don’t like T9 and word functions will be happy with. This causes a need for slightly larger construction, but the Optimus is still modestly sized at 109 x 54.5 x 12.7mm and fits in any small pocket users desire. The handset is fashioned from lightweight plastic that is sturdy in structure and features smooth, sleek curves cut from the shell that gives the phone a sleek appearance.

A 3-inch touch screen covers the front of the handset. A resistive touch screen instead of capacitive, it is still incredibly accurate and produces far fewer mistakes than those who are apprehensive would believe. The screen carries HVGA resolution with a TFT display, rendering images that are quite sharp for a phone in the middle price range. Resolution found on the Optimus is rated at 320 x 480 pixels and 256K colors are displayed.

The LG Optimus provides customers with two types of home screens. Those familiar with the Android OS will recognize one, while the other is customized by LG. The one created by LG allows customizable buttons found at the bottom of the screen that grant access to shortcuts, widgets, and folders. Messaging is instantly accessible from this screen as well. Three to seven home screens are available and the theme can be completely changed.

Some LG smartphones have suffered short battery life, but the company has greatly improved battery performance with the Optimus. Around 7 hours and 20 minutes of talk time and 500 hours of standby time are obtained from the 1500mAh lithium-ion battery. Not many smartphones can claim such life.

Other enhancements found on the LG Optimus include both alarm and world clocks. Users who have left pencil and paper behind will find the voice recorder and organizer quite handy. Anyone seeking to kill time with some fun will enjoy the dedicated Youtube plug-in. A PDF viewer is another nice addition amongst many other application available.

Although it is LG’s first attempt at using Android technology, they have created a user-friendly experience with the LG Optimus. Users already familiar with Android smartphones will not be insulted and new users will not cry out of frustration. The Optimus offers a good balance of complexity and simplicity.

Why Cyclists Need A GPS System For Bikes

Published by Gart under Uncategorized

If you are into bicycling, a bicycle GPS system can help you to find your way.  You will find units that range from a basic navigation system to those that are made especially for bicycling or at least, working out.   With so many models from which to select, you should be able to find one that will meet your needs.

A GPS with bicycling-friendly features can help you take your workouts to the next level.  A popular GPS for bicyclists is the Garmin Edge.  Set up your own courses, track your workouts, and create exercise goals in addition to the navigation abilities.   A Virtual Partner allows you to race against someone when a human isn’t available. If you want detailed workout information, look for a model that has a heart rate monitor and cadence and speed sensors.  If you want more advanced functions, you can even share data with other riders that are equipped with a compatible device.  A barometric altimeter will allow you to get precise altitude measurements.  You can also find at least one model that allows you to use ANT-enabled power meters.

A GPS-enabled smartphone or cell phone may be an option for you.  If you are chiefly wanting navigation features and are not worried about tracking your workout or remembering routes, this may be a cheaper way to go.  Bear in mind that you may have to pull over to find your location.   Depending on your cell phone plan, there could be considerable expense involved.

Do you have a handheld or portable auto GPS system?  If so, you may be able to find mounting kits so that you can mount it to your bike. Be sure that the mounting kit is sturdy, as some may not have the ability to stand up to harsh road conditions.  Since a device may not necessarily be a waterproof GPS, be sure to check the water resistance rating of the device as you don’t want a sudden downpour to ruin your unit.   Mounting means that you don’t have to ride while holding the device.    This option is good if you don’t need any workout tracking functions.

You may also just want to bring along a portable GPS that doesn’t mount to your bike.  As with the cell phone, trying to read a map while riding and holding the device can be a challenge.  You may decide that pulling over when you need to check the map is acceptable.

A GPS watch could be another possibility.  Some of these allow you to store workouts.  Heart rate monitors and calories burned are also available depending on the particular watch.

A bicycle GPS can be extremely useful if you are riding in new areas.  Any of the options mentioned above will help you track your location.  If you are a serious bicyclist, a GPS for bicycles such as the Garmin Edge is likely your best choice.

Learn About The Samsung Galaxy

Published by Gart under Uncategorized

It seems as though every smartphone released today comes complete with the Android operating system. That is because manufacturers have apparently decided, at least for now, that it is the OS of the future and have jumped on board. Samsung has embraced Android technology and become a major player in the sector, raising the bar even higher with its new Samsung Galaxy.

People are constantly on the go and do not want to feel weighted down by their smartphone. Samsung is not ignorant of this fact and crafted the Samsung Galaxy to be slim and slender. It is a touch smaller than similar handsets with dimensions of 122.4 x 64.2 x 9.9mm and it weighs only 119g. Some users will be reminded of the iPhone 3GS with the Galaxy’s black plastic and metal look. This should not cause customers to run away from the phone, but some might like it to be a little more distinct in its appearance.

Samsung certainly set the Galaxy apart from the competition, however, with the 1 GHz Hummingbird processor. Not very many smartphones can claim speeds of that caliber. There are 8GB of internal storage available on the Samsung Galaxy that can be expanded to 32GB for those who need a little more. The 8GB of storage break down to about 6MB for media and 2GB for applications. Connectivity on the Galaxy is triband 900/1900/2100 HSDPA/HSUPA. Add to that Bluetooth 3.0 and a microUSB 2.0 port and you have a handset at the front of the curve.

Though the Galaxy certainly does not lack in the speed department, the phone truly excels with its display. The screen itself is a huge, 4-inch capacitive touchscreen that responds very well. It offers 800 x 480p resolution with Samsung’s Super AMOLED display, already a better option than the standard AMOLED and LCD displays of previous models. Super AMOLED also provides much better viewing on the Samsung Galaxy in direct sunlight than many other smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy utilizes Samsung’s own TouchWiz 3.0 user interface on top of the Android 2.1 operating system. This takes some getting used to for those who are familiar with the regular Android 2.1 interface. The TouchWiz does improve the notification bar, providing persistent shortcuts to toggle between vibrate and silent modes, Bluetooth, and WiFi. The Samsung Galaxy also addresses social networking with Social Hub, a function that combines Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter updates into a single stream.

The Samsung Galaxy will surely continue Samsung’s fine legacy of Android smartphones. Placing somewhere near the top of the market, the phone is cutting edge and user friendly. The Samsung Samsung Galaxy will please consumers looking for the newest and best in Android technology.

YouTube Stalking

Published by Gart under Uncategorized

Thanks to the advent of video sharing sites and social networking, Youtube has become an incredibly popular and well known community, allowing you to share videos of events and activities from any aspect of your life. Unfortunately, this also opens you up to the possibility of being stalked by people via Youtube.

Stalking is one of the largest issues on YouTube and a very simple way to do that if you are so inclined is to clone another person’s account. After this person has cloned your account, they could do all manner of things in your name that would sully your reputation and make you look bad in front of others, all through the Internet. All of us need to understand that this represents illegal activity which may result in serious repercussions.

“Trolls” are the name of people who clone other’s accounts – however, despite how well intentioned or harmless you may think your information can be, it can be used to steal your identity and cause you a lot of trouble. Ten millions Americans every year fall victim to this particular type of crime, and more often than not the stalker is someone that they know very well. However, the more this trend continues, the harder it gets for authorities to be able to crack every case and clamp down on this crime.

The aim of any stalker is to torment, pester, ruin reputations and obtain a feeling of control and dominance over another person, but this is particularly true of cyber-stalkers. Like most criminals they don’t believe they can be caught and it can become difficult, although not impossible, especially if they jump from victim to victim.

Many sites catch stalkers through the use of IP tracking which means authorities and web servers can track their exact location and track what actions they done which can then be used against them in court. Included in these websites are nobull-ip-tracking.com/6/index.htm.

Frequently, stalking will commence with bothersome email and these emails are just the evidence which is used in building a case against the stalker. IP tracking systems are perfect for this particular method of criminal identification, as well as reverse lookup. As soon as you find the stalker’s IP address, the search engine website and the authorities will determine the name and phone number, as well as address of the stalker, as well as the websites they have frequented. This IP address is one of the most important things to find out in order to put an end to this type of invasion of privacy.

There are various actions which one can take in order to remain free from Internet stalking. Most importantly, you have to be careful of how much information you put up about yourself on sites that are not properly secured. Just putting your birthdate and your name on Facebook will allow someone to take advantage of you. Another thing is if you don’t recognize the name or email address of the person who contacts you spam it. In the event that you mistakenly spam a legitimate email, they will contact you with other methods – there’s no reason not to be too careful.

Creating a clone account is a fairly simply matter once one has sufficient personal information. They can sound like you and they end up pretending to be you. The clone will even befriend your friends and impersonate you. The bottom line is that every individual has to take personal responsibility for the information that is released to the Internet. Therefore, one should always err on the side of caution when disclosing personal information.

Covergence In 2010

Published by Gart under Uncategorized

The pace of change in technological developments has been rapid, not just in the last ten or five years, but even within the last twelve months. Since mid-2009 we have witnessed the rise of the iPhone and the mass up-take of twitter usage, it is a cliché but things are constantly changing, it is difficult to predict what shape the digital landscape will take in a years time, let alone ten.

et us rewind to the early 2000’s and talk about what the popular schools of thought were on technological progress in the pre-social networking era. Convergence was a major buzzword and there were a number theories circulating that separate pieces of media hardware would converge into ‘one box’, an omnipotent device sitting in living rooms that would provide internet, television, gaming, music and the ability to make endless mugs of coffee. That last one was a lie by the way!

We can safely say that this is not the reality today. While home entertainment devices have diversified to offer a more rounded experience, it is not exactly what media theorists had in mind when they professed about the ‘box’. What we have seen however is quite the reverse, software being made available across various different pieces of hardware. Take Last FM for example, a free internet radio service, this is available in some form or another on mobile devices in the form of an ‘app’, on games consoles as an intuitive version of the site optimized for joy-pad style controllers, and of course in it’s original form on the web. This is convergence, though not as it was imagined, I would tend to call it unified communications.

Of course, hardware devices have become more ‘diverse’ but not to the extent to which one device replace the entire contents of your living room. Take the iPhone for example, the perfect example of convergence in action, this has many features such as internet browsing, GPS and video playback, as well as the functionality afforded by tens of thousands of apps, but if you own one, chances are you have not binned your home computer, sat-nav console or DVD-player. Some devices are spawning extra features making them more usable, Business Telephone Systems such as the Avaya IP Office enable video calling and multiple conversations, meaning they turn the phone into a much more useful device from a business perspective.

Thus it is clear that convergence is a much less top-down process than was first thought, rather than disparate devices amalgamating into one, delivering multi-media channels we have witnessed existing hardware transform and diversify, as well as media channels adapting to enable themselves to be delivered via numerous different pieces of hardware. Who knows what the next the next ten years has in store?

Advance Technologies Continues To Deliver Great Results

Published by Gart under Uncategorized

The transfer of data is easier and more efficient due to advance technology. Fax to email technology merges traditional method of faxing with the swiftness and confidentiality of email. Fax to email transmits faxes from a standard fax machine to an email message/fax at the addressee’s computer.

However the operation of a fax machine requires the lease or purchase of such a machine, plus the expense of paper, toner, an additional phone line, repairs and maintenance.  It is not environmentally friend, with discard cartridges and other pollution.  The machine also takes up valuable office space.

Fortunately,  technology now offers a  better solution  than a fax machine for sending and receive fax messages.  “Fax to email” technology gives you the functionality of a fax with the speed and confidentiality of e-mail.  Messages can be sent from any location and received anywhere else without the need for a physical fax machine.

Additional hardware or software is not required. Therefore, existing email and Internet systems and software can be utilized to the fullest extent. The advantage of this technological wonder is its accessibility and capacity to send faxes globally from one computer to another without receipt limitations.

Fax to email technology is faster than traditional fax machines. Transmission is equivalent to the speed of an Internet connection which makes data transfer more efficient. By no means does the sender wait for a fax signal because multiple pages are sent immediately and paper jams become a thing of the past. Furthermore, faxes are sent directly to the recipient’s email inbox which protects privacy.

Using no cost free installation, set up, education and support, the fax to email method is the ideal mix of two important communication tools into one effective and low cost solution.

“Fax to e-mail” is faster than a traditional fax.  The transmission speed is hundreds of times faster than a phone line because it uses the speed of the Internet.  It also eliminates problems like being unable to get a fax signal, no paper in the machine or malfunctioning machines.  The technology is also much more secure, as the message can be delivered directly to a private e-mail account rather than to a public fax machine.
